The MY002 puts Accossato's quick throttle control on the Yamaha R1M (2015–2018), paired with the GR001 one-tone racing grip. Unlike the two-tone GR006, GR001 is offered in a single shade chosen from eight options, so the grip can be matched to the same colour as the anodised cap rather than contrasted against it. The housing itself is the usual two-piece CNC-machined aluminium ring set, and the kit comes with Accossato's YA013 cable set cut for the R1M, plus three internal cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm to set how fast the throttle opens.

Construction and Material Quality
Both halves of the housing are cut from aluminium stock and anodised afterwards, in any of eight finishes; because the GR001 grip is single-coloured rather than two-tone, that same colour range runs straight across grip and cap without a second decision to make about contrast. The three cams that come in every kit, machined to 40, 43 and 45 mm, are the only parts that change how the throttle behaves: a larger diameter gives a quicker pull and a longer stroke of the grip to reach full throttle, a smaller one gives the opposite.
One Colour, Top to Bottom
Where the two-tone GR006 deliberately splits the grip into two shades, the GR001 fitted here is a single colour across its whole surface, which simplifies matching it to the cap rather than to a second grip tone. A rider building a specific colour scheme around the R1M's own paintwork, or around a team livery, only has to pick one grip shade and one cap shade rather than balance three colours against each other. The choice runs to eight options on both parts, so black-on-black, a single accent colour, or a two-part combination using the cap alone are all available, none of which affects the cam set fitted inside.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato cuts the YA013 cable set specifically for the Yamaha R1M (2015–2018); the same part is also listed for the closely related R1 (2015–2019), which uses the same cable routing. Exact production years for both are listed in the Fitment tab. Because the kit replaces the throttle control and its cables as a pair, there is nothing left from the stock assembly to combine with it once it is fitted.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the MY002; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. As with any throttle control, make sure the grip returns on its own to the idle position once fitted.
