DescriptionThe whole story▼

The rear brake on an MT-09 Sport Tracker from 2015 or 2016 has a modest but useful job: steadying the bike at low speed, tightening a line mid-corner and holding it on a hill. Accossato's AGPP88OR is the rear pad for the Sport Tracker in the Organic (OR) compound. It suits relaxed riders who use the pedal gently and want a smooth, quiet response and a rear disc that lasts.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Yamaha MT-09 Sport Tracker, 2015 to 2016
  • Article AGPP88OR, organic compound on the AGPP88 plate
  • Accossato cites long-lasting performance and reduced disc wear
  • For relaxed riding and gentle use of the rear brake
  • Two pads per box, the complete set for the single rear caliper
  • The rear plate is also offered with ST material
  • Front pad for the Sport Tracker: AGPA97
  • No German ABE on record; offered for track and competition

Construction and Material Quality

The AGPP88 comes in two compounds, and this one is organic. Accossato says it provides lasting performance and limits disc wear, which suits a rear brake that is used lightly and often. On a Sport Tracker used for relaxed rides, that is a sensible, low-maintenance choice.

A Light Touch at the Back

The Sport Tracker's upright riding position and wide bars make it easy to ride slowly and precisely, and a smooth rear brake helps. When turning tightly at walking pace, a gentle drag on the rear pedal steadies the bike. In town, the rear can take the edge off speed without the weight transfer that the front brake causes. An organic pad responds progressively to these light inputs. Check the pad thickness whenever you adjust the chain, and look for scoring on the disc. If the bike has been standing, press the pedal a few times before riding to make sure the pads are in contact with the disc.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPP88 for the rear of the MT-09 Sport Tracker in 2015 and 2016, and the AGPA97 for its front. One box covers the rear caliper. Clean the area around the piston before pressing it back, inspect the disc and check the reservoir. Accossato also lists the DK077 and DKS073 discs for this model. Pump the pedal until firm and bed in with gentle stops.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or test certificate for this rear pad. The AGPP88OR is supplied for use on the track and in competition.

Scope of Delivery

Two Accossato AGPP88 pads in Organic (OR) compound in one box, the full set for the Sport Tracker's rear caliper.
