DescriptionThe whole story▼

These are Accossato front pads, coded AGPA92, in the Organic (OR) compound for the Zero DSR built from 2016 to 2017, the ZF13.0 battery version of the Californian dual-sport machine. An electric motor makes almost no sound, so every squeak from the brakes carries straight to the rider's ears. That quietness, together with gentle treatment of the disc, is what the organic mix is chosen for. It suits owners who ride the DSR to work, run errands across town and rarely push the brakes to their limit.

Key Features

  • Front pad set AGPA92 for the Zero DSR, model years 2016 and 2017
  • Organic (OR) mixture, aimed at everyday commuting
  • Accossato states it lasts longer and keeps disc wear down
  • Calm, quiet operation that suits a silent electric drivetrain
  • Friendly bite from a cold start on a winter morning
  • Also offered as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC for the same caliper
  • Two pads per box, enough for one caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes its organic compound as one that gives longer performance and limits wear on the disc. Put simply, the pad sacrifices itself gently rather than scoring the rotor, which matters on a commuter that clocks up short trip after short trip. The Italian maker, founded in 1969 in Moncalieri near Turin, lists this mix as its answer for riders who want predictable, low-drama stopping without chasing lap times.

Why Organic Makes Sense on a Silent Bike

On a petrol bike the exhaust masks most brake noise. On the Zero DSR there is nothing to hide behind, so a pad that works quietly becomes part of the riding comfort. The organic mix also takes hold without a long warm-up, which helps on the first set of traffic lights after leaving the garage. Regeneration from the motor already slows the bike when you roll off, so the friction brakes on a commuter often stay cool; a compound that likes moderate temperatures fits that pattern well. For a riding-school bike or a daily errand machine this is a sensible, unfussy choice.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA92 in organic form sits on the front caliper of the Zero DSR ZF13.0 from 2016 and 2017, exactly as Accossato lists it. The 2023 DSR (ZF17.3-X) takes a different front pad, AGPA96, so check your model year before ordering. For the rear of the 2016 to 2017 bike Accossato offers AGPP91, while the 2023 rear uses AGPA29. Replace pads on both sides of an axle at the same time, clean the pistons before pushing them back and bed the new pads in gently.

Road Approval

No test certificate or German ABE is available to us for these pads, so we list them for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The box holds two organic brake pads, one set for a single caliper. Count the calipers on your front wheel to know how many boxes you need.
