Owning a TM Racing MX 450 four-stroke means riding something unusual. TM is a small Italian manufacturer from Pesaro, and its motocross bikes are a rare sight at most tracks. That rarity has a practical side: when something breaks, the replacement is not always hanging on a dealer's wall nearby. The C7283 from Accossato, a folding clutch lever for the MX 450 of 2010 to 2019, is meant to make one of those replacements less likely. It is cut from Ergal 7075, carries a long blade for four fingers and has a joint that lets that blade fold forward when it hits the ground.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato was founded in 1969 in Moncalieri, near Turin, as a builder of competition motorcycles, and it still has its levers made in Italy. For the C7283 the starting point is a solid block of Ergal 7075, an aluminium alloy of high strength whose main alloying element is zinc. CNC machining turns that block into a lever in two parts, designed to be strong, light and reliable: a dark base that holds the pivot, and a blade in the colour you choose, linked to it by a folding joint. Being a clutch lever, the blade is long enough for the whole hand.
Parts from a Small Factory
Riders of the big brands rarely think about spares until the moment they need one, because the common parts can often be bought from a van in the paddock on race day. With a TM it is different. A small factory builds in small numbers, and outside Italy the nearest TM dealer may be a long drive away, with parts ordered in rather than taken from a shelf. A clutch lever broken in Saturday practice can mean a long wait for the replacement, or a weekend spent asking around the paddock for someone else's spare that happens to fit an MX 450.
Owners in that position learn to cut down the number of parts that can end a weekend early. The clutch lever is high on that list, because it sits at the end of the handlebar and meets the ground in almost every fall to the left. On the C7283 the blade can swing forward on its joint when it strikes, and in many falls that is the difference between a bent stub and a lever you can still pull. It is a chance rather than a certainty, and a spare still belongs in the van. But a lever with better odds of surviving means fewer anxious calls to a dealer who may be a long way from the track.
Fitment and Compatibility
The C7283 is listed by Accossato for the TM Racing MX 450 four-stroke from 2010 to 2019 and fits the original clutch mount. Earlier MX 450 bikes, before 2010, are not covered by this clutch lever. The folding B8206 brake lever runs across a wider span, 2003 to 2019, and is offered in gold where this clutch lever is offered in orange; choose black, blue or red if both sides of the MX 450 should match.
Road Approval
The C7283 has no German ABE on file. Like the MX 450 itself, it is intended for motocross and closed-course competition, not for public roads.
