DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many Scrambler 1200 XC owners ride with hand guards, and a guard changes the space around the clutch lever. At full pull the blade has to clear it, when released it must not rest against it, and in between it should still sit where the hand expects it. The EST333P from Accossato is an aluminium clutch lever for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC from 2019 to 2020, and its adjustable reach and three blade lengths make that fit easier to find.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Scrambler 1200 XC, 2019 and 2020
- Mounts on the original clutch mounting
- Reach adjustable near the pivot
- Three blade lengths, standard approximately 138 mm
- Machined from aluminium and anodised, hub in black
- Seven blade colours
- Rigid lever without a hinge
Construction and Material Quality
The EST333P is produced by CNC machining aluminium and anodising the finished part. The result is a two-tone lever, a black hub containing the pivot and the reach adjuster, and a blade in one of seven colours. Hub and blade form a single rigid piece. Without a joint in the blade, the lever has a defined length and a defined path, which is exactly what you need when you are judging its clearance to a hand guard.
Hand Guards and Lever Clearance
Setting up a clutch lever behind a hand guard on the Scrambler 1200 XC means checking three positions. With the lever released, there should be a gap between the tip of the blade and the inside of the guard, so the lever always returns fully and the clutch engages completely. Pulled all the way in, neither the blade nor your fingers should touch the guard. And in the position you actually ride with, the reach should let your fingers find the lever without hunting for it. Blade length is the main variable. The short blade, which comes in green, silver, blue, orange and gold, ends further from the guard and is the easiest to fit under wraparound guards. The long blade, in blue, orange, green and gold, gives more leverage but needs more room. After fitting, turn the bars from lock to lock and check that nothing catches.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EST333P is listed for the Scrambler 1200 XC for 2019 and 2020. It replaces the original lever on the stock clutch mounting. The same clutch lever is also listed for the Scrambler 1200 XE of 2019, and for the brake side of the XC Accossato lists the EDF099 for the same two years. Hand guards are not part of this product, so if you plan to fit them, choose the blade length with them in mind.
Road Approval
No German ABE is documented for the EST333P. For that reason it is sold for track use.
