Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters.

Why the Original

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 05449-06 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins states inner diameter 39 mm, outer diameter 14 mm, length 17 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it. Stop washers limit travel of an internal part and are sized to that job.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05449-06

Category: Washers

Inner Diameter: 39 mm

Outer Diameter: 14 mm

Length: 17 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05449-06_57ccb8dd-7ed6-4202-940c-602b7505d041.png?v=1788874170
