Key Features

- Original Öhlins service part
- Outer Diameter 34 mm
- Thickness 0.20 mm
- Inner Diameter 12 mm
What It Is
00520-34 is the 12 mm, 34 mm, 0.20 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Two shims of the same thickness but different diameter give completely different curves. A coned or marked shim is finished — it no longer seals against its neighbour. Öhlins stamps and grinds its shims to tolerances a general-purpose washer never holds.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.
Identifying the Right Part
00520-34 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The published dimensions are inner diameter 12 mm, outer diameter 34 mm, thickness 0.20 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Revalving means changing the stack, not the piston — that is why shims are sold singly. Öhlins stamps and grinds its shims to tolerances a general-purpose washer never holds.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
