Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification. Hose length is specific to the installation and cannot be substituted freely. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Original Öhlins Part

Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00404-07 in this case. Öhlins states dimension a 58 mm, dimension b 100 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00404-07

Category: Reservoirs

Dimension A: 58 mm

Dimension B: 100 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00404-07_5e3d4317-8b83-4238-aeff-7e6fb0ea627b.png?v=1788869304
