Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 01042-04 in this case. The published dimensions are dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 8 mm, dimension c 230 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01042-04

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 8 mm

Dimension C: 230 mm

Thread: M10x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01042-04_50c3383c-0aff-48a7-a3fc-f6b7d07b0ad5.png?v=1788872995
