Öhlins turns and hones each tube to a defined roundness, because an out-of-round bore leaks past the piston. Öhlins gives the tube its diameter and its working length as a pair — a tube of the same bore but different length belongs to a different unit. Wall thickness and bore finish are what let a cylinder hold pressure without deforming under load.

Why the Original

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 21646-05. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check diameter 30 mm, length 34 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Diameter and length together identify the tube — both are specific to the damper it came from. Öhlins gives the tube its diameter and its working length as a pair — a tube of the same bore but different length belongs to a different unit.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21646-05

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 30 mm

Length: 34 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21646-05_595de7e9-d875-437f-85cb-7d458fdbcfb7.png?v=1788879830
