DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ESR 008 presents the Panigale V4's controller with the resistance it expects at the rear, so the system reports itself healthy and stores nothing at all.
Key Features
- Ducati Panigale V4 (2018–2024)
- Answers the rear electronic suspension circuit
- No warning and no withheld riding modes
- Plugs into Ducati's own connector
- For a conversion to a conventional shock
- Standard shock refits at any time
Built in Borgo Panigale
Ducati assembles the V4 in Bologna, and the factory sits beside the museum and the racing department. That proximity is not accidental and it shows in the motorcycles.
What the Eliminator Presents
A resistance and, where the model needs it, a signal path that answers the controller's health check with values consistent with a working unit. Nothing is intercepted and nothing is generated.
What Stays Electronic
The rider aids, the engine maps and the traction control are untouched. Only the suspension's own circuit is answered by this part.
Not a Legal Question
Suspension electronics are not part of any emissions or lighting approval. The consideration here is engineering rather than paperwork.
Front, Rear or Both
The two ends are separate circuits with separate part numbers, so a conversion at one end only needs one eliminator.
Mounting
Secured where it cannot swing into the wheel, the linkage or the exhaust. A cable tie in the right place is the whole of the installation.
No Software
Nothing is flashed and no parameter is edited. The part works entirely through what it presents electrically, which is why it needs no setup at all.
Mounting It So It Stays Put
Tied off clear of the wheel, the linkage and the exhaust, with enough slack that suspension movement does not pull on the connector. That is the entire installation instruction, and it is the part most likely to be done carelessly at the end of a long afternoon.
The Base Specification
Where the S carries the electronic shock as part of its package, the standard machine's owners often arrive at the same conversion from the opposite direction: fitting a better conventional unit rather than removing an electronic one. The circuit still has to be answered either way.
Rear Ride Height
A conventional shock frequently offers length adjustment the electronic unit did not, which is a genuine tuning tool and a genuine way to make a motorcycle handle badly. Changing one thing at a time is the only sensible approach after a conversion like this.
