DescriptionThe whole story▼

JP PDQ TR001 E gives the Triumph Daytona 660 a dedicated switch block for riders running a quick-action throttle, now anodised in bronze. The Daytona name returned to Triumph's range as a middleweight sports triple, and this part restores the controls a shorter throttle travel displaces.

Key Features

  • Triumph Daytona 660 (2024–2025)
  • Triumph Daytona 660 (2024–2025)
  • For quick-action throttle installations
  • Bronze anodised Ergal 7075
  • CNC-machined from solid
  • Military-specification switch elements
  • Pre-wired for the original connector

A Nameplate Back in Production

Triumph revived the Daytona badge on a middleweight triple after years away from sportbikes of this size, and demand for track-oriented parts followed quickly. A quick-action throttle is one of the first changes owners make, and the switches have to go somewhere.

Where the Standard Switch Used to Sit

Shortening the throttle's rotation frees up space on the bar but leaves the original right-hand functions without a home. This block is machined specifically to occupy that gap on the Daytona 660's handlebar without interfering with the grip. The dimensions were taken directly from the Daytona 660's own bar, not borrowed from another Triumph triple with a similar name.

Bronze, Worked Into the Metal

The colour is anodised into the Ergal rather than sprayed on, so repeated glove contact will not wear it back to bare aluminium. It sits as a warm, muted tone rather than a bright or decorative one. It is a tone chosen to last rather than to stand out, which suits a bike many owners plan to keep for years.

Sealed Past Road Requirements

Switch elements rated to a military specification handle far more exposure to water, heat and vibration than a road-going Daytona will produce on its own. That margin is what keeps the block working after seasons of use. That margin matters most on a bike ridden through a full riding season rather than kept for occasional weekend use.

Plug-and-Play, Model Specific

The loom connects to Triumph's original plug, so no wiring is cut or spliced on either side. This switch is machined only for the Daytona 660 and only for bikes already fitted with a JetPrime quick-action throttle; it will not fit other Triumph models.
