DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fitting a Jetprime quick throttle to a KTM 690 Duke (2012-2019) displaces the right-hand controls; the JP PDQ KT032 E in Bronze carries them on its own CNC-machined Ergal mounting, built to suit a single-cylinder bike ridden hard.
Key Features
- KTM 690 Duke (2012–2019)
- Fits KTM 690 Duke (2012-2019)
- Separate mounting on the quick throttle, off the bar
- Solid Ergal body, bronze anodised
- Plugs into the factory wiring directly
- Carries horn, indicator and light functions after fitting
- For use only with the Jetprime quick throttle
A Single That Rewards a Busy Hand
The LC4 engine builds torque low and loses interest near the top of the revs, which means a 690 Duke rider is working the throttle constantly between corners rather than holding one steady position. A shorter action makes that constant movement less tiring over a ride.
Where the Stock Switch Used to Live
The factory switchblock bolts to the stock throttle assembly, and removing that assembly for the quick-action version takes the switchblock with it. This unit gives the displaced functions a fixed home on the new throttle body instead of leaving horn and indicator wires loose against the tank.
Billet Construction for a Single
A 690's single-cylinder vibration is coarser than a multi-cylinder engine's, and a CNC-machined solid Ergal housing resists that vibration better over time than a moulded equivalent, with bronze anodising sealed into the surface rather than sitting on top of it.
Wiring That Needs No Splicing
The loom plugs into KTM's original connector, identical in function to the one the stock switch used, so nothing about the bike's factory wiring is cut to fit this unit, leaving the single-cylinder's already simple electrical system no more complicated than the factory left it.
A Finish for a Stripped-Down Bike
The 690 Duke carries little bodywork to begin with, and a bronze-anodised switch reads clearly against that minimal styling rather than disappearing the way it might on a fully faired machine, which is part of why owners of stripped-down singles tend to notice finish details others would miss.
