DescriptionThe whole story▼

The headlight holder is the structure behind the nose that carries the light unit and the instrument cluster. It is not bodywork: it holds things up, and everything at the front of the motorcycle depends on it staying where it was put.

Key Features

  • Headlight and instrument support structure, direct replacement
  • 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt or raw
  • Autoclave-cured laminate with moulded mounting locations rather than drilled holes
  • Original fixings, light unit and instruments untouched
  • A load-bearing part rather than a cover

Why This One Has to Be Made Properly

A support structure has to keep a set of mounting points in the same relationship to each other under vibration for the life of the motorcycle. Voids in the resin around a boss are what let that relationship drift, and drift at the front of a motorcycle means an instrument cluster that buzzes and a headlight whose aim wanders.

Autoclave curing under pressure is what reduces those voids. On a cosmetic panel the difference is theoretical; here it is the reason to buy a made part rather than the cheapest available.

Fitment and Compatibility

BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 and 2024, using the original fixings. It does not fit the S1000RR or the 2025 M. Note what is attached to the original before removing it — the loom is routed through this area.

Road Approval

Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It carries the headlight without altering it, but a part that positions a lighting device deserves particular care — confirm the position for your own registration before road use.

A Racing Part in Disguise

On a machine stripped for the circuit, the headlight comes off and this holder carries only the instruments and a number board. That is the use it is really drawn for, and it is where the weight saving over the original matters.

For that reason raw is the common choice: none of it is visible once the fairing is on, and on a track bike the fairing is the only thing in front of it. Clear coat is for an owner who takes the nose off at shows.
