DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound is also listed in the AGPA96 front pad for the 2024 Zero S ZF14.4. This is the choice for owners who race the latest S or use it for serious track work, where set-up changes are made between sessions and every detail of the brake feel matters. ZXC is a ceramic mixture that Accossato describes as ideal for racing, and it is intended for the circuit rather than the commute.

Key Features

  • AGPA96 front pad set for the Zero S 2024 (ZF14.4)
  • ZXC ceramic racing compound
  • Described by Accossato as ideal for racing
  • For competition and serious track work
  • Designed for consistent behaviour when hot
  • Other versions of this pad: OR, ST, EV1, EV2
  • Two pads for one caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound ideal for racing. It is designed to work in the heat of a circuit, where braking is hard and repeated. The company's usual goals of slow wear and controlled heat build-up also apply, helping the pad keep its behaviour steady through a long session. Used cold on public roads, it will not respond like a street pad, which is why this version is for a track bike.

Data, Feel and Brake Set-Up

Modern electric bikes produce plenty of data, and on track that information helps with set-up. On the 2024 Zero S, battery temperature, regeneration level and lap times can all be recorded. Combine that with the rider's feedback on brake feel: how quickly the ZXC pads bite, whether the lever travel changes and how the front end reacts under hard stops. Adjust lever position, regen level and brake markers step by step. After each session, check pad wear and disc condition, and keep a clean, organised pit box so nothing contaminates the pads.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA96 for the front of the Zero S ZF14.4, 2024. The S of 2015 to 2017 needs AGPA92 at the front. Rear pads for the S are AGPP91. Change the front pads in pairs, clean the pistons before pushing them back and pump the lever until firm. Bed the ceramic pads in fully before any competitive session.

Road Approval

Accossato has not provided an ABE or approval documents for this item; it is sold for motorsport only.

Scope of Delivery
