DescriptionThe whole story▼

For a competition-prepared Zero FXE ZF7.2 of 2022 or 2022, Accossato also offers the AGPA92 front pad in ZXC ceramic racing compound. This ceramic mixture is aimed at the racetrack and at riders or teams who fine-tune the bike from session to session. It is not meant for city commuting, which is the FXE's usual job, but for the moments when this small electric bike is taken racing.

Key Features

  • AGPA92 front set for the Zero FXE 2022 (ZF7.2)
  • ZXC ceramic racing compound
  • Described by Accossato as ideal for racing
  • For circuit sessions and competition
  • Designed to limit fade under repeated stops
  • Also offered as OR, ST, EV1 and EV2
  • Two pads for one caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound ideal for racing. The ceramic formula is built to operate at the higher temperatures found on track, with the company's usual goals of slow wear and controlled heat build-up. Used on the street in cold conditions, a race-oriented ceramic pad will not behave like a commuter mix, so the ZXC version is meant for bikes that see the circuit.

Working with the Team in the Pit

In racing, brakes are part of the set-up conversation between rider and mechanic. After each session on the FXE, the rider describes how the lever felt, where the bike started to push and whether the stopping power changed during the run. The mechanic checks pad wear, disc temperature marks and fluid condition. With ceramic ZXC pads, watch for glazing and make sure the pads are fully bedded in before a race. Keep the workspace clean, handle the pads by the edges and pump the lever after any caliper work before the bike goes back out.

Fitment and Compatibility

The FXE arrived as a 2022 model, and that single year is the one this front pad is listed for. Accossato lists AGPA92 for the front caliper of the Zero FXE ZF7.2, 2022. At the rear, the FXE takes AGPP91. Change both front pads at the same time and never mix compounds on one caliper. Check the pad retaining parts when you fit the new set, since the old ones stay on the bike.

Road Approval

Accossato has not supplied us with a test certificate or German ABE, so the ZXC pads are sold for motorsport only.

Scope of Delivery

Two ZXC ceramic racing pads for one caliper, packed together in a single box.
