DescriptionThe whole story▼

The 2023 Zero DSR ZF17.3-X is the long-range version of the electric adventure bike, and many owners use that range for proper trips. This AGPA96 front pad in Sintered (ST) compound targets riders who tour, carry bags, take a passenger and do not park the bike when the weather turns. Accossato designed the sintered mix to keep the same bite from a cold start through a hot descent, and to hold on firmly when the road is wet.

Key Features

  • Front pad AGPA96 for the Zero DSR 2023, ZF17.3-X
  • Sintered (ST) formula for touring and year-round use
  • Grip level that stays constant hot or cold, says Accossato
  • Reliable response in rain and spray
  • Predictable pressure point when carrying luggage
  • Same pad also available as OR, EV1, EV2 or ZXC
  • Set of two pads for a single caliper

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, the sintered compound maintains a high, stable grip level across a wide temperature range and performs well on wet tarmac. Its pads are made to wear slowly and to limit how hot they get, so the effect of fading stays small on long stretches of repeated stopping. For a heavy touring machine that combination counts for more than an aggressive initial bite.

A Touring Pad for the Long-Range DSR

With a larger battery, the 2023 DSR can string together long days on country roads, and the brake pads see every kind of weather in a single outing. Morning fog, a shower at lunch and sun-baked tarmac in the afternoon each change how a pad behaves. The sintered mixture is meant to smooth out those differences so the lever does not surprise you. When touring two-up, a steady feel is also a comfort for your passenger, who notices every abrupt stop. Carry a spare set on longer trips and check the pad thickness before heading into the mountains.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato matches AGPA96 to the front brake of the Zero DSR ZF17.3-X, 2023. For the DSR of 2016 and 2017 the correct front pad is AGPA92. Rear pads are AGPA29 for the 2023 bike and AGPP91 for the older one. Renew both pads in the caliper together, clean the pistons before retracting them and keep brake cleaner away from the rubber seals.

Road Approval

There is no approval certificate or German ABE on file for these pads, so they are intended for competition and track use.

Scope of Delivery

The package contains two sintered pads for one caliper. No fitting hardware is included.
