DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Kawasaki EN 650 Vulcan S is a cruiser with a low seat and a parallel-twin engine, popular with riders who want a relaxed bike for towns, lanes and weekend outings. Accossato's AGPP88 rear pad in Organic mixture fits the Vulcan S from 2015 to 2026. It is intended for owners who use the rear brake a lot at low speed, as many cruiser riders do, and who want it to be quiet, smooth and gentle on the disc.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPP88 for the Kawasaki EN 650 Vulcan S, 2015 to 2026
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPP88OR
  • Accossato cites a long service life and low disc wear
  • Soft, controllable pedal response
  • Quiet at low speed and in traffic
  • Also covers the Vulcan S SE of 2017 and 2018
  • Available on this plate as ST too
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's claims for the Organic compound are longer-lasting performance and limited disc wear. On the rear of a cruiser, where the pedal is used constantly for low-speed control, those two points add up to fewer pad changes and a disc that stays in good condition for longer. The company also says its pads resist fading because heat build-up remains moderate, and that they provide high stopping force. The compound is bonded to the AGPP88 plate.

Cruiser Riding at Walking Pace

Cruiser riders often lean on the rear brake more than sport riders do. On a Vulcan S, the rear helps to hold a steady line through slow turns, to creep forward in a queue and to stop smoothly at junctions without dipping the front. A pad that bites softly and builds force progressively makes those manoeuvres calmer, particularly for less experienced riders.

Because the rear pad on a cruiser works so often, check its depth at every chain or belt inspection and every oil change. Keep the disc free of oil and polish, and when fitting new pads, clean the piston before pushing it back and pump the pedal until it feels firm.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP88 for the rear brake of the Kawasaki EN 650 Vulcan S from 2015 to 2026, which includes the Vulcan S SE of 2017 and 2018. No other Accossato pad or disc is catalogued for this model in our data. The box holds one set for the single rear caliper.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or German approval mark for AGPP88OR in our records. These pads are sold for track and competition use.
