DescriptionThe whole story▼

An electric Zero DS glides through town almost without a sound, which means every squeal from the brakes is suddenly very noticeable. For the front caliper of the DS from 2015 to 2017, Accossato offers the AGPA92 pad, and this version uses the Organic (OR) compound. It suits owners who use their dual-sport as a quiet commuter, value smooth and silent stops, and want to look after the front disc. Accossato describes the organic material as giving longer performance and limiting disc wear.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the Zero DS, model years 2015 to 2017
  • Covers the ZF9.4 and ZF12.5 versions of 2015 and the ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 of 2016 to 2017
  • AGPA92 shape in the Organic (OR) compound, item AGPA92OR
  • Long-lasting performance and low disc wear, per Accossato
  • Quiet, progressive bite suited to a silent electric bike
  • Two pads per box, one set for a single caliper
  • No German ABE on file; supplied for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's organic filling for the AGPA92 is formulated for durability and to treat the rotor gently. On a Zero DS used for daily trips, that adds up to fewer disc replacements over the years. The pads also limit heat build-up, reducing fade. The AGPA92 is further catalogued in sintered ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC form. Each box holds two pads, the set for one caliper.

Silent Riding, Quiet Brakes

Without engine noise, a rider on a Zero DS hears the tyres, the wind and the brakes. Organic pads usually run quietly, which fits the calm character of an electric commuter. The electric drivetrain has no gears or clutch to manage, so the rider's attention on approach to a junction goes to throttle release and a smooth squeeze on the lever. A progressive pad rewards that style. After a winter of salty roads, check the pads and clean the caliper; organic material can wear faster in grimy conditions.

An Older DS Worth Maintaining

Many 2015 to 2017 DS models are now in their second or third ownership. When replacing pads, give the whole front brake a check: pistons that move freely, fresh fluid, a disc within its wear limit. Push the pistons back only after cleaning them, and pump the lever until firm after fitting.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA92 for the front of the Zero DS from 2015 to 2017, including the ZF9.4 and ZF12.5 versions of 2015 and the ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 of 2016 and 2017. For the 2024 DS with the ZF17.3, the front pad is the AGPA96. The rear takes the AGPP91 for 2014 to 2017 and the AGPA29 for 2024. Check how many front calipers your bike uses, as one box serves one.

Road Approval

We hold no German ABE or approval documents for this pad. It is therefore sold for circuit and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

One box with two organic front pads for one caliper of the Zero DS.
