DescriptionThe whole story▼

The fluorescent yellow CY042 is the most eye-catching colour in Accossato's painted range for this 19x18 radial brake master cylinder, but the mechanics underneath are the same as every other colour: a 19 mm piston for dual-disc braking, an 18 mm pivot rated for track and road use, and a black Revolution lever whose length is set with inserts rather than by choosing a separate long or short part.

Key Features

  • 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
  • 18 mm lever pivot, suited to track use and the road
  • Revolution lever in black, adjustable length via inserts
  • Forged and painted body in fluorescent yellow
  • CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
  • Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals in Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

This body is forged and CNC-machined in aluminium, then finished with a fluorescent yellow paint coat rather than left bare or plated. The fasteners and internals fitted afterwards match the rest of the painted range: stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals. An offset riser in the clamp limits flex under hard braking, and the bore shape cuts the lever's passive travel by more than half against an ordinary radial unit.

High-Visibility Colour, Same Mechanics

Fluorescent yellow stands apart from the other painted options mainly in how visible it is on the bike rather than in anything mechanical, since the piston size, pivot distance, lever design and internal hardware are identical to the black, blue, green, red and silver versions of this cylinder. Riders who want the master cylinder to be a visual focal point rather than blend into the bodywork tend to pick this colour. Because the lever itself is always black, choosing this colour changes only the body, not the look or the adjustment of the Revolution lever.

Fitment and Compatibility

The fluorescent yellow CY042 fits the same 65 motorcycles as the rest of the line, including the Aprilia Tuono 660, BMW S1000R, Ducati Scrambler 1100, Kawasaki ZZR1400 and Honda CBR1000RR; the Fitment tab carries the complete list with model years. The 19x18 cylinder with the Revolution lever is also sold with black, blue, green, red and silver painted bodies. Track-day riders sometimes pick this colour specifically so the master cylinder is easy to spot during a pit-lane inspection or a quick visual check between sessions.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 19x18 radial brake master cylinder with the black Revolution lever, in the fluorescent yellow painted body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included.
