DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato also offers the AGPA72 front pad for the Triumph Scrambler 900 of 2006 to 2016 in its EV2 racing compound. This is a pure competition pad. It is meant for a Scrambler that has been prepared for closed-circuit use, where the front brake is used as hard as possible, lap after lap, and gets very hot. For road riding, the other compounds on this plate are more suitable.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA72 for Triumph Scrambler 900, 2006 to 2016
  • EV2 racing compound, code AGPA72EV2
  • Accossato: a top racing compound
  • Built for heavy, repeated stops
  • Full bite once warm
  • For closed circuits and competition
  • The plate also comes as OR, ST and EV1
  • Competition use only, no approval documents

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV2 as a top racing compound. It is designed to give a strong, consistent bite at high temperatures and to hold that bite through a long session. When cold it is less effective, so each session should start with a warm-up lap before the first real stop.

A Scrambler on a Closed Circuit

Building a road twin for circuit use is a rewarding project, and the brakes deserve early attention. Fresh fluid, clean pistons, a disc within its limits and a compound made for heat: that is the basis of a front brake you can rely on lap after lap. EV2 covers the compound. During an event, check the pads between sessions for even wear and glazing, and look at the disc for heat marks. A consistent compound makes it easier to find and repeat your braking points, and that repeatability is what turns a quick lap into a series of quick laps.

Paddock Checklist

Clean the caliper thoroughly before fitting, fill with fresh fluid and pump the lever until it is firm. Bed the pads in during the first outing with progressively harder stops, and keep the disc free of oil and chain lube.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's application list pairs AGPA72 with the front of the Scrambler 900, model years 2006 to 2016. No Accossato rear pad or disc is shown for this bike. Order one box per front caliper, and consider a spare set if you plan a full day of sessions.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or German test certificate for AGPA72EV2 in our records. It is intended strictly for racing and competition.

Scope of Delivery
