DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato also makes its AGPA29 rear pad for the 2023 Zero DSR ZF17.3-X in EV1 street/track compound. It is intended for sporty riders who want a sharper rear brake for fast road riding and occasional amateur circuit days. Although the front does most of the stopping, a precise rear brake helps settle the bike on corner entry and trim the line mid-bend, which is exactly where a keen rider notices the difference.

Key Features

  • AGPA29 rear pad set for the Zero DSR 2023
  • EV1 street/track compound
  • Strong grip for road and amateur track use, per Accossato
  • Precise rear control on corner entry
  • Handles occasional circuit sessions
  • Other versions of this pad: OR, ST, STMX
  • Two pads, one rear caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the EV1 compound offers excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use. On the rear of the DSR, that means a pad that reacts clearly to light pedal pressure, which is useful for fine adjustments at speed. Like the company's other pads, it is designed to wear slowly and to limit heat, reducing fade when the brake is used repeatedly.

Using the Rear Brake with Intent

Many riders barely touch the rear brake, but on a fast road it can calm the chassis when you roll into a bend or correct a line without upsetting the front. On the 2023 Zero DSR, regeneration adds to this effect at the rear wheel, so the pedal and the regen setting work together. An EV1 rear pad gives a clear, direct answer to your foot. At an amateur trackday, check the rear pad after each session as well; it tends to be forgotten until it is worn through.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA29 for the rear of the Zero DSR ZF17.3-X, 2023. The rear of the 2016 to 2017 DSR requires AGPP91 instead. Front pads are AGPA96 on the 2023 bike and AGPA92 on the early model. Replace rear pads as a set and bed them in with progressive stops. Before a circuit outing, check that the rear caliper bolts are tight and that the pedal returns freely, since a dragging rear brake heats the disc quickly.

Road Approval

Accossato has not provided an ABE or test certificate, so we offer this rear pad for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
