DescriptionThe whole story▼
Before every session, an R1M on track goes through the same routine: tyre warmers off, stands out, engine on, a last look over the bike. It is a busy minute, with cables, stands and people all around, and it is also a moment in which a lever can get knocked. The Accossato LV022 is a folding brake lever with integrated adjuster for the original radial master cylinder of the R1M, listed from 2015 to 2020. Its blade is joined to a black base so that it can fold, and its reach can be adjusted.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato sells the LV022 as a folding brake lever with integrated adjuster, and that is all we can say about the adjuster: no further technical details have reached us, so none are claimed here. The lever consists of an anodised black base on the pivot of the radial master cylinder and a blade anodised in the colour you pick, the two connected by the folding joint. Both parts are CNC-machined from aluminium. The blade has the standard length, and you choose between RST, with a lightening opening, and NRST.
Warmers Off, Stands Out
The last minutes before a session are a common time for small paddock mishaps. Tyre warmer cables trail across the ground, a generator hums, a friend pulls the front stand while you hold the bars, and someone else walks past carrying a set of wheels. With the carbon bodywork of an R1M, nobody wants the bike to topple here. If it does, or if a stand or a wheel catches the lever, the folding blade can give way instead of breaking, which lowers the chance of missing the session while a replacement is found. Make the lever part of the routine. Once the warmers are off and the bike stands on its wheels, pull the brake, check that the blade sits in its working position and confirm that the reach has not moved. Then check the lap timer, and go. A routine followed the same way every time is easier to trust when the paddock is busy, and it takes no longer than finding your gloves.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the LV022 for the R1M from 2015 to 2020, under YZF 1000 R1 M, for the original radial master cylinder. The LV020 is listed for the same years; compare both with the lever on your R1M, and ask us if you are unsure which of the two suits it.
Road Approval
For the LV022 we hold no documentation of a German ABE, and we sell it for track use.
Scope of Delivery
