DescriptionThe whole story▼
Moto Guzzi's Racer models look back to the V7 Sport of the early 1970s, a sporting twin remembered for its red frame, and the V7 II Racer continues the idea with a red frame of its own, a chromed tank and a single-seat look. On a bike styled with that much care, the levers are part of the picture. The Accossato ESD037 is a clutch lever for the V7 II Racer ABS 750 of 2015 and 2016, made of anodised aluminium for the original clutch mounting and adjustable in reach.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Moto Guzzi V7 II Racer ABS 750, 2015 to 2016
- Replaces the stock lever at the original clutch mounting
- Reach adjustable at the pivot
- Red blade available in the standard length of about 138 mm
- Six further colours, some also short or long
- CNC-machined aluminium, black anodised hub
- Fixed blade without folding joint
- No German ABE documented, for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The ESD037 is shaped from a solid aluminium blank on CNC machines and then anodised in two tones. The black hub holds the pivot and the reach adjuster; the blade, a single rigid piece that carries on to the tip without any joint, takes the colour. Because the colour belongs to the anodised surface, it keeps its depth on a bike that is cleaned and admired as often as it is ridden, and it does not flake the way a painted finish can.
A Red Detail on a Red-Framed Racer
Red frame, bright tank: the V7 II Racer's colour scheme is already clear, and the clutch lever can either join in or keep quiet. A red blade could echo the frame and link the handlebar to the rest of the bike, the choice that most directly continues the Racer theme. Silver sits naturally next to chrome, and black keeps the cockpit understated. Blue, green, orange and gold are also available if you would rather the lever stood out. The red ESD037 is made in the standard length only, so if you want a short blade for two-finger clutch work, silver, blue, green, orange and gold are the options. With clip-on bars, the reach setting matters as much as the colour: bring the lever close enough that your fingers can take up the clutch without your wrist rising, because a bike that asks you to lean forward should not also ask you to stretch.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the ESD037 as a lever for the V7 750 Racer; for the V7 II Racer ABS 750, the years that apply are 2015 and 2016. The lever replaces the stock part at the Racer's original clutch mounting. For the brake side, Accossato offers the EDF016 for the same years, so a matching red or silver pair is possible.
Road Approval
For road use in Germany, no ABE is documented for the ESD037; its place is the closed track.
