The same rally-shaped Dakar silencer, in black electro-coloured stainless steel instead of bare titanium. Same price as the titanium version, same mounting, and the one that disappears against a dark-liveried Transalp.
Key Features
- Euro 5+ approved slip-on for the Honda XL750 Transalp, 2023 to 2026.
- Dakar silencer with a black electro-coloured stainless steel body.
- TIG-welded outlet, high lateral mounting position.
- Connecting pipe with a higher flow than the original.
- Minimalist stainless steel heat shield.
- Same 797 euro as the titanium version.
Electro-Coloured, Not Painted
Black electro-colouring is an electrochemical process that changes the surface of the stainless itself. Nothing is laid on top, so there is no layer to chip at the mounting points and nothing that lifts when the silencer gets hot.
The result is a hard, slightly satin black rather than the deep matt of a ceramic coating. On a working adventure bike that is arguably the better property: it survives gravel and boot scuffs in a way a coating does not.
Why It Costs the Same
797 euro, exactly what Spark charges for the titanium GHO2002TOM. That is unusual — on most Spark models a change of finish carries a premium — and it makes this a straight choice of appearance rather than a budget decision.
What does differ is the material underneath. The titanium version has a titanium body; this one is stainless steel. Spark publishes one weight figure of 2,6 kg for the code as a whole, and a stainless case is necessarily heavier than a titanium one, so treat that number as Spark's figure for the code rather than for this build specifically.
Against a Dark Transalp
Honda sells the XL750 in a matt grey and a black as well as the white tricolour. On either of the darker two a bare titanium silencer is the brightest object on the motorcycle; the electro-coloured one lets the rally silhouette read without the shine.
The Shape Is Unchanged
Body, mounting, connecting pipe and heat shield are identical to the titanium version. High lateral position, TIG-welded outlet, a stainless pipe that Spark states flows more than the original, and a deliberately small stainless shield.
Approved and Ready to Ride
Euro 5+ homologated with an EC certificate. Spark states that no remapping or further modification of the motorcycle is needed for its Transalp slip-ons.
Fitment & Compatibility
Honda XL750 Transalp, 2023 to 2026, including the E-Clutch version. The titanium version of this silencer is GHO2002TOM; the low-mounted Force Evo is GHO2001TOM at 725 euro.
Road Approval
EC type-approved to Euro 5+. Spark supplies the homologation certificate with the part; file it with the vehicle documents.
