DescriptionThe whole story▼
A knocked lever on a CB750 HORNET is not a cosmetic problem — it is a braking input. That is the ISS115RC: 132 mm guard length of structural carbon in front of the CB750 HORNET brake lever. Colour choice runs to 8 options and changes nothing about the fit on the CB750 HORNET. On a 755 cc machine like the CB750 HORNET it is the least expensive insurance available.
Key Features
- 8 bush finishes for the CB750 HORNET: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver
- Made in Italy
- Mounts at the bar end, where the CB750 HORNET has the clearance for it
- Bar-end weights come off the CB750 HORNET; nothing else does
- Original CB750 HORNET controls stay exactly where they are
- LighTech's own geometry, not a generic bar-end part
Mass at the Bar End
Weight at the bar end of a CB750 HORNET is the worst place to carry it. The ISS115RC holds the lever of the CB750 HORNET clear at 132 mm guard length without adding mass. The CB750 HORNET steers the same with it fitted as without.
Scope of Delivery
LighTech sells the ISS115RC individually, not as a left-and-right set. With the preselected “Adapter” value, the adapter for the CB750 HORNET arrives in the same delivery as the ISS115RC. Worn parts are renewed individually, which is the point of the system.
Fitment and Compatibility
LighTech's fitment for the ISS115RC is the CB750 HORNET (2023 to 2026). The guard mounts to the bar end of the CB750 HORNET via the matching LighTech adapter.
Fitting
Installation on the CB750 HORNET starts with removing the bar-end weight. With the adapter in place the guard bolts on and is set for angle before final tightening. If the CB750 HORNET runs aftermarket bars, confirm the bore before ordering.
Before You Order
LighTech makes the guard and its mount as two parts; here they come in one order. The adapter is what carries the guard, so it is chosen by the bar, not by the guard. The “Adapter” option names the part for the CB750 HORNET: KPL329, preselected — one guard, one adapter per side. If KPL329 is already in the bar of your CB750 HORNET, “Without Adapter” saves buying it twice.
Regulations and Road Use
Many organisers now check for a brake lever guard before a CB750 HORNET goes onto the circuit. LighTech supplies no road type approval with the ISS115RC and we make no approval claim. If the CB750 HORNET carries a plate, settle the question before fitting.
