DescriptionThe whole story▼
The lid for the left electronics carrier. It fixes to the carbon carrier, not to the bike, and it closes off the modules behind a finished face.
Key Features
- Cover for the left carrier
- Autoclave-cured 200 Plain weave
- Four finishes
- Requires carrier MD-9912-C81L
- Shared across the 899, 1199, 1299 and 959
Order of Operations
The carrier goes on first. This part bolts to it, and the standard Ducati bracket does not accept it, which makes ordering the covers on their own the most common mistake in this group of numbers.
For anyone building an 899 up gradually, the sensible sequence is carrier, then cover, in that order and ideally in the same session. The fairing only has to come off once.
What It Actually Changes
Fitted, the cover is visible through the fairing's own openings and from nowhere else. That is a small view, but it is the one someone gets when they crouch beside the bike, and on a machine where the rest of this area is already carbon it is the piece that finishes the job.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati 899 Panigale, model years 2013 to 2015, with the Fullsix left-hand carrier fitted.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It covers unchanged wiring.
Fitting
Check nothing is pinched behind it before the last fastener. A connector held under constant pressure fails intermittently, and nobody traces that back to a carbon lid.
