DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Rally may wear spokes and a retro livery, but underneath it is still an FTR 1200 with a strong V-twin and a willing chassis. Owners who enjoy hustling it along twisting tarmac, or who join a trackday for the fun of it, can fit Accossato's AGPA177 front pad in EV1 street/track, listed for the Indian FTR 1200 Rally from 2019 to 2024. EV1 adds bite and firmness at the lever compared with a road pad, without becoming a pure racing mixture.

Key Features

  • AGPA177 front pad in Accossato's EV1 street/track
  • For the Indian FTR 1200 Rally, 2019 to 2024
  • Excellent grip for fast road riding and amateur track use, per Accossato
  • For Rally owners who like to ride briskly
  • ST, EV2 and ZXC available for this pad
  • Two pads for one caliper per box

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato positions EV1 as a mixture with excellent grip for street riding and for amateur circuit use. For a scrambler-styled bike, that means a pad that bites convincingly on a brisk road ride without needing racing heat, and that keeps its composure through a few quick laps. The company, founded in Moncalieri near Turin in 1969, designs its pads with low wear and fade control in mind, and EV1 carries those aims into sportier riding.

A Scrambler That Likes to Hurry

Riders are often surprised by how quickly a Rally can be ridden on a winding road, and how much work that puts on the front brake. EV1 gives a clearer first bite and a firmer lever, which makes it easier to load the front tyre progressively before tipping in. If a trackday is on the calendar, the pad handles repeated hard stops as well. After fitting, bed the pads in with a series of firm but controlled stops on a quiet road, and inspect both discs for uneven transfer after an intense day.

Fitment and Compatibility

Rally owners from 2019 through 2024 find this pad under AGPA177 in the Accossato catalogue, fitted to the front wheel, while AGPA42 is the part for the back. Remember that the Rally has a disc and caliper on each side of its front wheel: one box feeds a single caliper, so a front-end job needs a second box. Clean the pistons with brake cleaner and a soft brush before easing them back, and pump the lever a few times until it firms up.

Road Approval

We hold no test report or German ABE for this EV1 pad; it is offered for circuit and competition use.
