DescriptionThe whole story▼
Twenty-eight millimetres through a sixty-one millimetre body, finished black. This is the most restrictive insert Spark makes, and it exists for circuits that mean it.
Key Features
- dB killer for Spark Dyno silencers.
- Ø 61 mm outer, 28 mm internal bore.
- Black finish.
- The narrowest bore in Spark's db killer range.
- Removable.
- Spark part number G9998, made in Mantova, Italy.
Twenty-Eight Millimetres
Put that number next to the case it goes into. The Dyno is a large racing silencer built to let a Panigale breathe; this insert takes its outlet down to less than a third of the body diameter.
It will be felt. That is not a fault in the article — it is what a serious noise reduction costs, and it is the honest reason to own one: a session you can ride is better than a session you cannot enter.
The Other Dyno Insert
Spark's second Dyno plug, G99100, is far wider and takes far less out. Owners who run the same machine at several venues often keep both: the wide one for open days, this one for the circuit with the clipboard at the gate.
Swapping takes a screwdriver and a few minutes with the silencer still on the bike.
Why It Is Black
Practical rather than decorative. The Dyno's outlet is large and the insert sits visibly inside it; a bright plug in a titanium case draws the eye to exactly the part nobody wants to look at. Black disappears.
It also makes the two Dyno inserts impossible to confuse in a toolbox, which matters more than it sounds like it should on a busy trackday morning.
No Article Page
Spark publishes no product page for this insert; what is described here comes from the 2026 dealer price list. If you need the length confirmed before ordering, ask us and we will get it from Spark rather than estimate it.
When You Actually Need It
Not often, and that is worth saying. Most circuits publish a limit a Dyno with the wide insert will meet. This article is for the ones that do not — typically urban or noise-restricted venues with static limits well below the national norm.
Approval
None conferred. The Dyno silencer is a racing article and stays one. This insert changes what a meter reads and nothing on paper.
