The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15417-02

What It Is

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for worn damping. The spherical bearing in an end eye lets the damper follow the linkage without side load. End caps close the tube and usually carry the adjusters and the gas valve.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 15417-02 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. The spherical bearing in an end eye lets the damper follow the linkage without side load. The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15417-02

Category: End Caps

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15417-02_5c97de46-0be6-4f9c-a931-629f593c7027.png?v=1788876272
