DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Speedmaster with a passenger and a pair of saddlebags is a proper touring machine, and touring means changing weather. For the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 1200 from 2018 to 2025, Accossato lists the AGPA29 front pad, and its Sintered version is designed for that kind of use: a firm, consistent bite on wet roads, on cold mornings and on long, loaded descents.

Key Features

  • AGPA29 front pad for the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 1200, 2018 to 2025
  • Sintered compound, article AGPA29ST
  • High, constant grip over a wide temperature range, per Accossato
  • Good bite on wet discs
  • Steady feel with passenger and luggage
  • OR, STMX and EV1 as alternatives
  • Two pads per box

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes its Sintered mixture as providing high and constant grip at both low and high temperatures, and good performance in the wet. For a Speedmaster on tour, that means the front brake behaves the same at dawn and after a mountain descent. The maker also claims long life and good fade resistance.

Two-Up on a Long Weekend

Picture the Speedmaster loaded for a long weekend: passenger on the back, bags on both sides, a route across hills with a forecast of showers. The front brake has more weight to stop, the disc gets wet and cold, and then hot on the long descents. A sintered pad is designed to keep its bite through all of that without changing much in feel. For the rider, that means one less thing to worry about on unfamiliar roads. For solo riding in dry weather, the OR version is gentler on the disc.

Before the Trip

Check the pad thickness and the age of the brake fluid before a long tour. Old fluid absorbs moisture, which can make the lever feel softer after long descents.

Fitment and Compatibility

In Accossato's list, AGPA29 is the front pad for the Bonneville Speedmaster 1200 from 2018 to 2025. Count the calipers on your fork; one box equals one caliper set. No other Accossato pads or discs are listed for this model in our data. Replace pads on the same axle together.

Road Approval

AGPA29ST is supplied without an ABE, as no approval papers are available to us. It is sold for competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two Sintered front pads for one caliper of the Speedmaster.
