DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some owners of the 2016 to 2017 Zero DSR ride it less like a commuter and more like a sporty road bike, carving through bends on a Sunday morning or trying a first open track session. For them Accossato offers the AGPA92 front pad in EV1 street/track compound. The mix is intended for keen road riders and amateur circuit use, bringing a sharper bite than a pure everyday pad while remaining usable on the way to and from the venue.
Key Features
- AGPA92 front pads for the Zero DSR 2016-2017 (ZF13.0)
- EV1 street/track compound for spirited riders
- Accossato promises strong grip on the road and on amateur track days
- Sharper initial bite than a commuter pad
- Suitable for a first trackday without a pad swap
- Siblings for this pad: OR, ST, EV2, ZXC
- Two pads, one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the EV1 mixture delivers excellent grip for street riding and for amateur use on track. It is a crossover recipe: firm enough to cope with a few hot laps, but not so extreme that it needs race temperatures before it works. The company adds that its pads generally wear slowly, which is welcome when the same set has to cover both road miles and circuit sessions.
From Country Lanes to a First Trackday
Electric track days have become more common, and the DSR's instant torque makes it fun on a tight circuit. Before your first session, bed the EV1 pads in with a series of firm stops on a quiet road and check brake fluid condition, since old fluid is often the weak point long before the pads are. On the day itself, build up braking pressure lap by lap rather than diving in on the first outing. Afterwards the same pads carry on for spirited weekend rides. If you find yourself chasing times regularly, the dedicated racing compounds EV2 and ZXC are the next step.
Fitment and Compatibility
EV1 AGPA92 fits the front caliper of the Zero DSR ZF13.0 built in 2016 and 2017, according to Accossato. The 2023 DSR ZF17.3-X needs AGPA96 instead. For the rear there is AGPP91 on the early bike and AGPA29 on the 2023 version. Always change the pads of one axle together and pump the lever until it feels firm before moving.
Road Approval
We have not received any test or approval documentation, German ABE included, for this product; it is offered for racing and competition.
