DescriptionThe whole story▼

The FE 501 carries the largest displacement in Husqvarna's four-stroke enduro range, mechanically close to the 450 it sits alongside, and the 2014–2016 bikes share an identical brake hose kit with that sibling and with the rest of the FE and TE family. Two braided hoses cover the front and rear circuit in the hose routing the bike was built with, nothing changed in how the lines travel.

Key Features

  • Two-hose set for the 2014–2016 FE 501, front and rear
  • Standard S-layout routing
  • Stainless steel or painted stainless fittings in five colours
  • Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
  • Shared part number across the whole 2014–2016 FE and TE range

Construction and Material Quality

Both hoses use a stainless braid sheath and can be fitted with either plain stainless steel fittings or fittings painted in one of five colours, on top of the twenty sheath-colour choice. That five-colour fitting option is specific to this earlier FE 501 kit, since the current four-stroke range has since moved to a stainless-only part.

The Largest Engine, Identical Hardware

For 2014 to 2016, Accossato groups the FE 501 with the 250, 350 and 450 four-strokes and with the two-stroke TE 125, TE 300 and 2016 TE 250, since every one of them uses the same hose pattern in this period. The pairing with the 450 is the closest of the group: both are the big-bore engines in the family, and Accossato treats their brake hardware as identical rather than scaling anything to the larger displacement. The 2017 and 2025–2026 FE 501 uses a rear-only kit instead, and the 2018–2020 bikes use their own separate two-hose part built just for that window.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the FE 501 built from 2014 to 2016, this is the correct kit, shared with the smaller FE 250 and FE 350 and with the 450, its closest sibling by hardware, plus the TE 125, TE 250 and TE 300 two-strokes. Later FE 501s use AGA0282 for 2017 and 2025–2026, or AGF3015 for 2018–2020.

Road Approval

Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The kit contains 2 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Connecting hardware such as banjo bolts and sealing washers is not listed as included, so it is worth checking the hardware already on the bike before starting the job. Once fitted, the circuit should be filled and bled by a competent workshop before the bike is ridden.
