Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually. Öhlins builds the seat into the housing so the sealing face is machined, not pressed. Öhlins machines the ports rather than casting them, so the edges stay sharp and the flow predictable.

Why the Original

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 21758-06 in this case. Öhlins states dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 11 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. A scored piston face means oil bypasses the shims entirely. Jets meter fixed bleed flow and are sized in tenths of a millimetre.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21758-06

Category: Valves

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 11 mm

Thread: M24x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21758-06_60d6a377-6713-4fcc-9f56-125e2b691d5e.png?v=1788880211
