DescriptionThe whole story▼
Frame sliders, crash bungs and engine case covers are among the first accessories many Hypermotard 939 owners fit, and for good reason: they protect expensive parts of the bike in a fall. What they cannot protect are the parts at the very edge of the silhouette. When the Hypermotard 939 goes down on its left side, the end of the wide handlebar and the clutch lever still touch the ground first. Accossato's AGS310 is a black replacement clutch lever in the original form, listed for the 939 and the 939 SP from 2016 to 2018.

Construction and Material Quality
Because the lever is exposed in almost any fall, it makes sense to replace it with a part that costs little and changes nothing, and that is what Accossato's original spare parts type is for. The AGS310 follows the form of the lever Ducati fitted to the Hypermotard 939. Accossato developed it for value for money and states that its production method gives it increased resistance after damage or a crash. It is black, in line with the list, and no other technical information is provided.
What Sliders Cannot Save
Think of a motorcycle lying on its side as resting on three or four points. Sliders or bungs are meant to be one of them, keeping the frame and engine off the ground, but the others are usually the handlebar end, the lever and a footpeg. Bar-end weights and handguards can take some of the load, yet on a supermoto-style bike with a wide bar, the tip of the lever still sits close to the tarmac when the bike is down. That is why experienced riders treat levers as consumables and keep a spare. After a fall, look at the whole side of the Hypermotard 939: slider, bar end, mirror, footpeg, gear lever and clutch lever. Fit the replacement with a clean, lightly greased pivot, pull it several times with the engine off, check the clutch switch and test the take-up at a standstill. A lever that has been bent belongs in the recycling bin, not back on the bar.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS310 for both versions of the Hypermotard 939, the standard bike and the SP, for 2016 to 2018. It is the only replacement clutch lever there for this model, and no replacement brake lever is named for it on our list. The same black lever is catalogued at Inter-Pace for the Hypermotard 821, the Hyperstrada 939 and the Multistrada 950. For a tuning part, Accossato offers its CNC levers ESD082 for the clutch and EDB012 and EDD001 for the brake of the Hypermotard 939.
Road Approval
For the AGS310 no approval papers are available to us, so we cannot point to a German ABE or a test mark. It is listed for racing and competition.
