DescriptionThe whole story▼

On a V9 Roamer used for relaxed cruising and trips around town, the rear brake does steady, gentle work: slowing the bike in traffic, steadying it at low speed and holding it on a slope. Accossato's Organic rear pads fit the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer from 2016 to 2017 and deliver a soft, controllable pedal while treating the disc with care.

Key Features

  • Organic (OR) rear pads for the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer
  • Model years 2016 to 2017
  • Accossato: long life and reduced disc wear
  • Soft, progressive pedal response
  • Quiet in daily riding
  • Two pads for the rear caliper
  • Front pad AGPA96 listed

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's Organic compound is meant for exactly the gentle, frequent use a cruiser's rear brake sees. The maker says it keeps performing for a long time and wears the disc only lightly. On a Roamer, that means infrequent pad changes and a rear rotor that stays in good condition.

Relaxed Rear Brake Use

Cruiser riders often lean on the rear brake at low speed, where it helps keep the bike stable and upright. On the V9 Roamer, a light touch on the pedal while rolling into a junction or turning into a driveway makes manoeuvres smoother. The Organic compound gives a soft start to the pedal stroke, which suits these small inputs, and it tends to run quietly. It fits the easy-going nature of the bike well.

Simple Maintenance

Check the rear pads regularly, clean the caliper when washing the bike and look for uneven wear, which can point to a sticking piston. After fitting, pump the pedal until firm and bed the pads in gently. Keep chain lube and polish off the rear disc at all times.

A Quiet Companion

Chrome, a smooth engine note and a quiet rear brake belong together. If squeal appears after a change, clean the pad edges and the disc rather than reaching for grease, which must never touch the friction surfaces.

Fitment and Compatibility

Rear pads for the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer, 2016 to 2017, listed by Accossato as V9 850 Roamer. The rear pad is also available as ST. Accossato lists front pad AGPA96 and disc DKS032 for this bike.

Road Approval

There is no German ABE or test certificate for these pads available to us, so we sell them for racing and competition.
