DescriptionThe whole story▼

Sunday mornings with a group of friends on back roads, a coffee stop and a brisk ride home: that is where a Kawasaki Versys 1000 S shows its sporting side. For owners who ride like that and perhaps book the odd track day, Accossato lists the AGPA109 front pad in the EV1 street/track mixture for the 2021 to 2024 Versys 1000 S. Accossato recommends EV1 for road riding and amateur circuit use.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA109 for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 S, 2021 to 2024
  • EV1 street/track compound, SKU AGPA109EV1
  • Accossato: excellent grip for the road and amateur circuits
  • Quicker initial bite for group rides at pace
  • Stays composed when stops come in quick succession
  • Also listed as ST, EV2 and ZXC
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV1 as giving excellent grip for street riding and hobby track sessions. On a Versys 1000 S ridden in a quick group, that suggests a front brake that responds sharply to the first squeeze and stays consistent through a run of hairpins. According to Accossato, its pads contain heat to hold off fading. The EV1 compound is bonded to the familiar AGPA109 plate.

Keeping Up With the Group

Riding with friends on sports bikes, a Versys rider often finds the tall bike quicker than expected through bumpy corners, but needs to brake with confidence to stay in touch. A front compound with a stronger initial bite helps the rider stop precisely where intended, without hauling on the lever.

Group rides mean long stretches of hard use followed by cool-down cruising. Watch for changes in lever feel over the day, and if the lever starts to come back further, give the brakes a rest. After fitting the pads, bed them in with steadily increasing stops on a quiet road before the first group ride.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's reference for the front of the Versys 1000 S from 2021 to 2024 is AGPA109; for the rear of the same bikes, it is AGPP88. Our data holds no Accossato disc for the model. Plan on two boxes for the front, because the bike uses two calipers and each box supplies one set. A comparison with the pads you remove is a sensible last check.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or German test certificate for AGPA109EV1. It is offered for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two EV1 front pads for a single caliper.
