DescriptionThe whole story

A tourer's brakes are judged on the fifth hour, not the first. ZCOO lists the B007 here, cut to 85.0 by 51.0 mm for the Brembo caliper carried by the Moto Guzzi V100 MANDELLO S. EXR is the endurance-grade mixture, reworked for progression, and the B007 is its shape here.

Key Features

  • The Brembo caliper spreads under peak pressure; the B007 plate is cut stiff enough to keep the friction face flat while it does
  • Resists glazing under sustained pressure, which is what ends most organic pads on a V100 MANDELLO S
  • Compatible with the standard Brembo retaining pin and spring of the V100 MANDELLO S - nothing else to buy
  • Suitable for trackday use on the V100 MANDELLO S without a change of pad before the session
  • Rotor-friendly by formulation: the V100 MANDELLO S discs see a ceramic film rather than an abrasive
  • Country of origin Japan; ZCOO does not source its friction material outside its own plant

Construction and Material Quality

The B007 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan. The ceramic content is what lets the B007 form a protective film on a V100 MANDELLO S disc instead of abrading it. None of it is visible once the B007 is in the Brembo caliper, which is precisely the point.

Performance and Feel

Choosing between EX Race and EXR on a V100 MANDELLO S comes down to what you want back. ZCOO specified a new backing plate alloy for the compound, and on a pad that reaches the top of its window repeatedly the plate is doing structural work throughout. Which is why the B007 suits the V100 MANDELLO S better than a pure sprint compound would.

Fitment and Compatibility

ZCOO's fitment data gives the B007 for the V100 MANDELLO S built between 2023 and 2023. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 85.0 mm length and 51.0 mm height. The same B007 shape covers 111 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. The reference is a front pad; ZCOO lists no rear equivalent.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
