Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport (2018–2024) PM127S

The Sport is the Scrambler 1100 with Öhlins at both ends and clip-on style bars — the version for someone who intends to ride it properly rather than pose on it. Better suspension changes how hard the engine gets used, because a chassis you trust is a chassis you carry speed on. That puts the 1079 cc air-cooled twin to work in the middle of the rev range, repeatedly, on the roll-on out of corners. The Sprint Filter P08 PM127S is a dry polyester element with roughly double the filtering surface, and that is the part of the powerband it protects.

Suspension you trust means an engine you use

The practical effect of the Öhlins package is that you stop being the limiting factor in a corner, and the throttle gets opened earlier and harder. Every one of those roll-ons is a transient — the engine asking for a step change in airflow from an intake that either supplies it promptly or lags. Because the pressure drop across a filter rises with flow, a partly loaded element costs most at exactly that moment. Holding it low is worth more on this version than on the base bike, simply because you ask for it more often.

Rebuilt, not replaced

Cleaning takes five minutes with an air line, and the element goes back in dry with nothing to reapply. Sprint Filter designs the P08 to last the life of the motorcycle, so a Sport that gets ridden hard does not leave a stack of used paper elements behind it.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry; there is no oiling step.
