How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

The Chameleon uses a shifting pigment: depending on the angle and the light, the Savage panels move between violet, grey and a green-tinged bronze. Photographs never quite capture it, which is either the appeal or the problem, depending on how you shop.
A carbon shell in six sizes
A 6K carbon weave forms the load-bearing shell. Carbon lets the wall stay thin without giving up impact performance, which is how a helmet with an integrated sun visor still comes in around 1400 g.
It comes in six shell sizes. Most full-face helmets make do with two or three, which means the small sizes carry more polystyrene than they need and the large ones look inflated. Six shells means your head size gets a shell built for it.
About the Savage Chameleon finish
Colour-shift paint works by interference rather than pigment, so the effect is strongest in direct sun and subtlest under cloud. Expect violet and grey to dominate at most angles with bronze appearing at the edges of curved surfaces — the spoiler and the chin bar show it best. It is the one decor in the range that genuinely looks different at every stop.
Airflow that reaches your head
Ventilation is a through-flow design: chin and top intakes feed air into channels cut through the EPS, and the rear exhausts pull it out. A breath deflector keeps exhaled air off the visor.
Three visors, one helmet
Vision is the strong suit: an oversized aperture, a scratch-resistant UV-stable screen, and the Pinlock 120 MaxVision insert supplied in the box. Changing the visor is a tool-free quick-release job.
The Twin Visor System puts a tinted sun visor inside the shell, on a slider by your left temple. It drops when the sun does and retracts fully into the EPS — no separate pair of sunglasses under the helmet.
Holding on, and letting go
Retention is a micrometric buckle in metal, adjusted once and clicked thereafter. Multi-density EPS handles different impact energies, and the emergency release system lets the cheek pads be pulled clear at the roadside.
The bit you actually touch
Comfort comes from laser-cut padding and an antibacterial X-Static silver lining — removable, washable, hypoallergenic. Recesses for the LS2 intercom are already moulded in.
