The JP ACC KT016 replaces the 690 Duke's throttle tube and housing with one machined body, reaching full opening in sixty degrees and using the motorcycle's own connector.

The Big Single
KTM's LC4 is the largest production single anybody builds, and the Duke wraps it in a light frame with a wide bar. Ride-by-wire arrived here early and the throttle response defines the bike.
Ride by Wire
There is no cable pulling a butterfly here. The grip reports an angle and the electronics decide what the throttle bodies do with it.
Which Tool
Whatever reads the engine controller on that model. A dealer does it in minutes; an owner with the right interface does it on the bench.
Torque at the Bar
The clamp screws are small and thread into aluminium. The figures are low and worth looking up rather than guessing at on a handlebar.
Where the Connector Sits
Usually under the assembly on the inboard side, reached once the switchgear is loosened. It unclips rather than unbolting.
Fitted Once, Then Forgotten
There is no maintenance interval and nothing inside to service. Beyond a periodic check that the clamp screws are tight, it is a fit-and-leave component.
Hand Position and Lever Reach
A shorter throttle sweep changes where the fingers sit relative to the brake lever at full opening. Adjusting the span afterwards is usually worth five minutes.
Mapping Is a Different Question
A flashed controller changes what the engine does for a given opening. This assembly changes how far the hand travels to reach that opening. Both get described as sharpening the throttle, which is why they are confused, and fitting both is common.
When Not to Fit It
On a machine used mostly in traffic, mostly two-up or mostly on gravel. The part rewards deliberate throttle use and punishes casual throttle use, and there is no setting to change that balance afterwards.
