DescriptionThe whole story▼

Honda designed the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, launched for 2020, with the circuit clearly in mind, and a good number of them now spend more weekends at trackdays than on country roads. Riders who use their bikes that way learn to pack for the day as well as for the laps: fuel, tyre warmers, a tool roll and a small box of spares that could rescue the afternoon. A clutch lever belongs in that box. Accossato's AGS07 is a silver replacement clutch lever of the original type, listed for the RR-R from 2020 to 2024.

Key Features

  • Original-type spare clutch lever for the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade
  • Model years 2020 to 2024 on Accossato's list
  • Silver
  • Sits on the left of the handlebar and works the clutch
  • An economical design from Accossato, aimed at value for money
  • Accossato reports improved resistance after damage or a crash, thanks to how the lever is produced
  • Supplied as one lever
  • No German ABE or test mark available; for racing and competition

Construction and Material Quality

What the AGS07 offers is a return to standard at a sensible cost. It is shaped after the lever Honda fitted to the RR-R, so the left clip-on looks unchanged once it is in place, and Accossato developed it as a spare that gives good value for money. The manufacturer also points to its production process, which, it says, leaves these levers more resistant after damage or a fall. The lever is silver. Accossato gives no further technical information, so this description stops there too.

What Goes in the Spares Box

Experienced trackday riders keep their spares list short and practical. It usually covers the parts that suffer in a low-speed slide or a tumble through the gravel: a clutch lever and a brake lever, a gear lever, perhaps a footpeg, a few fasteners in the sizes the bike uses, plus tape, cable ties and a small tube of grease. Nothing on that list is exotic; the point is to have it in the van rather than a long drive away. For an RR-R, an original-type clutch lever such as the AGS07 earns its place, because it brings the bike back to standard shape at modest cost and can be changed in the paddock with basic tools. Do the job with the bike on its stands, clean the pivot before the new lever goes on and set the free play at the lever to the value in the handbook. Then check that the clutch switch reacts, pull the lever several times with the engine off, and only then roll back towards the pit lane.

Fitment and Compatibility

On Accossato's list the AGS07 appears for the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade of 2020 to 2024, and no other original-type lever is shown for this model. At Inter-Pace the same silver clutch lever is also listed for the earlier CBR1000RR, for the CBR600RR and for the XL750 Transalp. A quick comparison of the product photo with the lever on your RR-R is a sensible last step before ordering. Riders who want a tuning part instead can choose Accossato's CNC levers, EDF011 for the brake and ESY688H for the clutch.

Road Approval

For this lever we have no approval documents, which means no German ABE and no test mark. The AGS07 is therefore offered for use on the circuit and in competition.
