The long one. Four hundred millimetres of Force silencer on an AISI 304 collector — the biggest case Spark puts on an R6.
Key Features
- Racing full system for the Yamaha R6, 2006 to 2026.
- AISI 304 stainless collector with 400 mm titanium Force silencer.
- 5.6 kg system weight.
- 1,518 euro.
- Racing part, not approved for road use.
Four Hundred Millimetres of Case
Length is the first thing that decides how a silencer behaves. At 400 mm this is a long body for a 600, and the volume it buys works on the middle of the rev range rather than only trimming the top end.
On a circuit that means drive out of second- and third-gear corners rather than a number at the end of the straight — which for most riders is where the lap time actually sits.
The Numbers Spark Publishes
Spark's data for this system gives two sound levels, 106 dB and 103 dB, and a weight saving of 4.7 kilos against the standard exhaust. The two figures correspond to the system run open and with the removable insert fitted.
If your event needs the measured configuration documented rather than quoted, tell us before you order and we will ask Spark for what they hold.
Where It Sits on the Bike
A 400 mm case reaches past the tail unit instead of tucking under it. On an R6 that reads as an endurance profile rather than a sprint one, and it is the most visible of the three shapes Spark offers here.
It also needs the space. If the bike carries a tail tidy, a race hugger or an aftermarket seat unit, check the clearance behind the shock before ordering — a long case is the one most likely to foul something.
Force, Not Force Evo
The Force is the earlier case in Spark's line: an oval titanium body with a plain end cap, without the converging ribs and the racing carbon cap that define the Force Evo. The Evo version lives in the STEP 3 titanium kits at roughly a thousand euro more.
Packing Has a Life
A long case holds more packing than a short one, which is an advantage until it is not. Absorption material breaks down with heat cycles and with sustained high rpm, and a silencer that has done two seasons of track days is measurably louder than it left the factory.
Spark builds the case so it can be opened and re-packed rather than replaced. Budget for it every second season on a bike that is used hard, and the exhaust outlasts several sets of tyres. It is also the cheapest way to keep a system inside a noise limit that it used to clear comfortably — worn packing is the usual reason a bike that passed last year does not pass this one.
Installation
Full system: the standard collector comes off and Spark's replaces it from the head pipes back. This is the stainless-collector range, so the joints are fabricated rather than machined from solid — the CNC connections belong to Spark's STEP 2 and STEP 3 titanium kits for the same motorcycle.
Fitment & Compatibility
Yamaha R6, 2006 through 2026. If the long case turns out to be more silencer than the bike has room for, the shorter alternatives on the identical collector are GYA8824T and GYA8805T, both 56 euro less. Spark's titanium STEP 3 kits are the alternative on the same motorcycle.
Road Approval
There is none. This is a closed-course exhaust and Spark lists it as such.
