DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the MT-09 SP, the JP PSR YA059 is the race left cluster, machined from Ergal 7075 with the road controls removed.
Key Features
- Yamaha MT-09 SP (2024–2025)
- Reduced race control set
- Black or titanium anodising
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
The Version That Earns a Circuit
Öhlins at the rear, a fully adjustable KYB fork and Brembo master cylinders. The SP is the MT-09 with a chassis worth exploring at pace, which is why a disproportionate share of the track-day MT-09s are this version.
What Comes Off
The indicator and horn controls and the positions they held. What remains sits further apart on the same housing, which is the whole functional argument for a reduced cluster rather than a lighter one.
Cruise Control Goes Too
The SP's cruise control lives on the left cluster and has no purpose on a closed course. Removing it frees another position, which on a housing this small is a meaningful amount of space.
Standard Electronics
Yamaha's connector and the factory ECU. The six-axis rider aids and the suspension settings continue to work exactly as delivered, and no aftermarket harness is required.
Uneven Firing at the Limiter
The CP3's crossplane crank produces a pulse rather than a hum, and at the top of a gear everything on the bar moves with it. A one-piece machined body with a bolted clamp stays tight under that.
Sealed for Repeated Washing
Sealed elements inside a body with no moulded joint. Track machines are cleaned hot after every outing, and ingress rather than button wear is what ends switchgear in that environment.
Two Anodised Finishes
Black and titanium. Against the SP's silver livery and gold suspension, black keeps the cockpit quiet rather than adding another colour to it.
