DescriptionThe whole story▼

Most M1000RR owners will tell you the side stand is the part they think about least. It is also, on a motorcycle of this value, the single component whose failure would be the most expensive. Fullsix builds this one as a hybrid: the load path stays metal, the arm between the pivot and the foot is carbon.

Key Features

  • Replacement side stand for the current M1000RR
  • Hybrid construction with a metal core and pivot
  • Four versions in 245 Twill: clear coat, matt, raw or twill satin
  • Uses the original pivot bolt, return spring and safety switch
  • Fits the full 2023-2026 model run

No Published Load Rating

Fullsix states no load figure, no test standard and no approval number for this part. On a component that holds up a 190-kilogram motorcycle, sometimes on hot tarmac, sometimes on a slope, that absence is worth stating plainly rather than burying. The hybrid construction means the metal carries the weight and the carbon does not, which addresses the obvious worry, but it is not the same thing as a published figure.

Use a stand puck. The foot area is small, and a puck is the cheapest insurance on the market.

Fitment and Compatibility

BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 through 2026, on the original pivot mount. Fullsix lists this article within the current generation of the M; other model years and the S1000RR are covered by separate numbers.

Road Approval

Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number and no load rating for this part. Confirm the position for your own registration before road use.

The Safety Switch

This motorcycle will not pull away in gear with the stand down, and the switch that decides that sits on the pivot. After fitting, check that the plunger is seated and that the engine cuts as expected before riding. A misaligned switch is the usual reason a freshly converted bike will not move, and it is a two-minute correction rather than a fault.
