DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound for front pad AGPA97 is aimed at R1M owners who race and who treat brake pads as a tuning variable. Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Yamaha R1M from 2015 to 2025. ZXC is a ceramic race mix, suited to riders who compare compounds in practice, record lever feel and wear, and make small setup changes across a weekend.

Key Features

  • Front pad AGPA97 in ZXC ceramic racing compound
  • Accossato fitment: Yamaha R1M 2015-2025
  • Described by Accossato as a ceramic compound ideal for racing
  • For setup work across practice, qualifying and race
  • A specialist race option
  • Two pads for one caliper
  • Other versions: OR, ST, EV1, EV2

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes ZXC simply as a ceramic compound ideal for racing and publishes no further detail. We do not add any. The maker's general claims for its pads, slow wear, less fade through controlled heat and strong braking, are included as its statements, without independent measurements from us.

Brake Setup in the Paddock

Racers who choose ZXC for an R1M often keep notes on how the lever feels in each session and adjust lever position or bleeding between outings. Running a set of EV2 in one practice and ZXC in another lets you decide which suits your riding and the circuit. Warm the pads with firm stops early on each lap. Circuits differ: a track with long straights and slow hairpins asks much more of the front brakes than a flowing layout, so the notes you keep on one venue may not transfer directly to the next. ZXC suits riders who enjoy that level of detail and have the time in the paddock to work through it.

Paddock Checks

Keep spare pads, brake cleaner and fresh fluid in the pit box, and check pad thickness after every session.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA97 for the YZF 1000 R1 M from 2015 to 2025. The R1M has two front calipers, so two boxes are required for the full front. For the rear, Accossato lists AGPP39. Clean the pistons before refitting, keep the discs grease-free and pump the lever until it is firm.

Road Approval

AGPA97ZXC has no ABE and no test paperwork with us. It is intended for competition and circuit use.

Scope of Delivery

Two ZXC ceramic racing front pads, part AGPA97, for one R1M caliper.
