DescriptionThe whole story▼

Cafes and bike meets are where a Z900RS does a lot of its socialising, parked up alongside other retro and classic machines while its owner talks shop over a coffee, and that's exactly the setting where an accidental nudge from a passer-by or a neighbouring bike is most likely. The bodywork takes the knock while the owner is nowhere near it. For the Z900RS built between 2018 and 2020, Accossato's TP101 crash pads cover that social, unattended risk every time the bike is left on its own.

Key Features

  • Crash pads for the Kawasaki Z900RS, 2018 to 2020
  • Accossato part TP101, two pads in the pack, one per side
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with a colour-anodised insert
  • Insert available in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
  • Optional matching screw cover in the same insert colour
  • Fitting may call for drilling on some applications
  • Pairs with the PF02 front axle sliders for the same Z900RS
  • No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato turns the TP101's aluminium body on a lathe and anodises the insert afterwards, in whichever shade is ordered, which keeps the colour fixed in the metal rather than sitting as a surface layer. A matching screw cover suits a neater finish. The box holds two pads, and the maker never actually states whether any further hardware accompanies them beyond those two pads.

Parked at the Cafe, Not Riding

A retro bike like the Z900RS spends plenty of time parked and admired rather than ridden hard, and that's precisely when it's most exposed to an accidental knock from someone else: a bike leaning too far in a crowded row, a boot catching the fairing while squeezing past, or simply a gust of wind at the wrong moment. Crash pads don't prevent the nudge, but they take the resulting scrape on a replaceable part instead of the retro paintwork underneath. Check with us before ordering whether drilling is needed on your particular Z900RS.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the TP101 for the Z900RS across 2018 to 2020; confirm your exact year before ordering. The identical pad fits the Ninja 400 and the Z400 in our range too, along with the Z900RS Cafe, which wears the same fairing shape beneath its own two-tone scheme.

Road Approval

Accossato supplies no German ABE or similar approval document for the TP101, so we list this pair for racing and competition use on the Z900RS rather than for road use.

Scope of Delivery

Two CNC-machined aluminium crash pads with your chosen insert colour, plus a matching screw cover if that option is added.
