DescriptionThe whole story▼
One hundred and two decibels at 6,500 rpm, without a dB killer in it. Spark's Evo 2023 system for the CBR 1000 RR-R with the AISI 304 stainless collector and the 350 mm Force Evo is the quietest configuration in the range — and the entry point to it.
Key Features
- Full racing system for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2020 to 2026.
- 102 dB at 6,500 rpm, measured without the dB killer fitted.
- AISI 304 stainless steel collector with a titanium link pipe.
- Force Evo silencer, 350 mm, titanium with a carbon fibre end cap.
- Collector diameters designed specifically to optimise performance.
- dB killer can be added to reduce the level further.
The Quietest of Four
Spark publishes a measured figure for every silencer on this system, at the same engine speed and all without a dB killer: Force Evo 102 dB, Konix Evo 105 dB, MotoGP 112 dB, Grid-O 114 dB.
Twelve decibels separate the ends of that scale, and the Force Evo sits at the quiet end of it by a clear margin. For a rider who books European circuits, that is not a detail — noise limits now govern free practice days as well as races, and a system that measures 102 dB as delivered arrives with margin rather than needing a plug to find it.
Stainless Collector, Titanium Link
Spark builds this system with an AISI 304 collector rather than titanium, and it is the reason it costs noticeably less than the full titanium versions. The link pipe behind it is titanium regardless.
That split is a sensible one. The collector runs hottest and takes the debris the front wheel throws, where stainless is more forgiving and its weight penalty is smallest. The link pipe runs longer and cooler, closer to the centre of the motorcycle, and that is where titanium's density advantage is actually felt in how the bike changes direction.
Diameters Chosen, Not Inherited
Spark states that the collector diameters in this range were designed specifically to optimise performance on this engine, and it is worth understanding what that means on a bike like the CBR 1000 RR-R.
Honda's superbike is built around a very high-revving four with tight valve timing, and it responds to primary length and diameter more sharply than a road-focused engine does. A system with dimensions carried over from another model would work; one dimensioned for this one is what Spark is charging for.
Fitment & Compatibility
Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2020 through 2026. The 450 mm Force Evo version is GHO8845T. The full titanium collector versions are GHO8836T with the Grid-O and GHO8837T with the Moto GP. The Force silencer group on its own is GHO8843ST.
Road Approval
None. The system carries no EC certificate and no catalytic converter, whatever it measures. Closed circuits only.
