DescriptionThe whole story▼
Please note: sale to France is prohibited.
When precision fit at high speed is non-negotiable, Shoei's engineering heritage comes into its own. The M13 Type-P neck pad is the performance-tuned upgrade over the standard M9 module, tightening the lower rear section of your X-SPR Pro helmet to deliver race-ready stability and assured head control on track and road alike.
Key Features
- Firmer, closer fit than the stock M9 module — targeted at the neck and lower rear-head zone for maximum retention
- Densely foamed, breathable pad core draws on Shoei's decades of interior engineering for comfort without compromise
- Tool-free fitment via hook-and-loop and press-stud attachment — swapped in minutes, no workshop required
- Fully interchangeable with other Shoei modular interior elements, letting you configure your exact inner structure
- Racing-oriented Type-P profile reduces unwanted helmet movement under hard braking and high-speed direction changes
Design, Finish and Heritage
Shoei has refined its modular interior system over generations of World Superbike and MotoGP development. Every pad in the range — including this M13 module — reflects that lineage: precise foam density, clean trim lines and a finish quality that feels deliberate rather than functional. The Type-P designation signals a firmer, sport-specific calibration that sits in clear contrast to the comfort-oriented alternatives in the X-SPR Pro's interior portfolio. If you have ever wondered how much the right pad transforms a premium helmet, swapping from M9 to M13 answers that question immediately.
Performance on Track and Road
The M13 module narrows the lower helmet aperture at the neck and rear-skull contact points. In practice this means the shell moves with your head rather than independently of it — a meaningful difference during fast changes of direction or when tucking behind the screen at motorway pace. For riders who find the standard interior slightly generous, this pad closes the gap without compromising the comfort Shoei expects from a flagship race helmet. Note that the exact module size is marked on the reverse of the pad, or can be confirmed by cross-referencing your X-SPR Pro shell size. The M9 module remains the alternative if a slightly more relaxed fit is preferred.
