Clamps have a specified torque; over-tightening distorts the bore they hold.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 25631-04

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. Mounting hardware is specific to the machine and the unit it belongs to.

Original Öhlins Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 25631-04 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. A cracked bracket is a safety matter, not a cosmetic one.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 25631-04

Category: Housings

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/25631-04_727d5b06-0041-43a1-a01f-8f0e0ae0f31c.png?v=1788880970
